We’re a group of like-minded people with an interest in nature and growing plants.
We’re based near Canterbury in Kent. Each year we run a selection of events aimed at bringing the community together around our shared interests.
Many of our events are free to attend and everybody’s welcome.
The group was founded in 2023 by local Horticulturist Joe Vary and his wife Amy. Since then, we’ve run several talks and events, set up a Community Food Garden at The Quaives in Seaton, and planted a new garden for the community in front of Wickhambreaux Village Hall.
Nowadays, a small group meets at the Community Food Garden on most weekends. Joe regularly holds free gardening Q&A sessions locally, as well as occasional talks and workshops.
You can also ask Joe your gardening questions online.
As a full time freelance gardening mentor, Joe’s most active on his Rooted in Nature blog which is brimming with free advice and helpful videos for anyone wanting to grow their gardening knowledge.
